![]() We do sell many different kinds of beer as well as several on tap local beers. Had the issue been brought to our attention we would have been more than happy to rectify the situation. We do strive to make sure all of the equipment in the rooms is in proper working order however at times things do get missed. We would like to apologize for the AC unit and coffee maker. ![]() As to the front desk it is 118 years old and is the original front desk that was in the hotel. On the second floor where we are currently removing more carpet and restoring the hardwood flooring underneath. this process of restoration can be seen all over the hotel from completely restored kitchen and dining room as well as our saloon. However we and many of our guests agree that despite this the tile is a huge improvement on the dirty 40+ year old carpet that had previously been there. Unfortunately due to the amount of adhesive used it was not possible to get it all out of the grout. We pulled up the carpet and restored the Italian mosaic tile it was covering. As you may recall from your stay ten years the lobby used to be carpeted. It is true we are restoring the hotel one floor at a time. We are very sorry to hear your stay was disappointing. What was a grand hotel is now rundown and neglected. I realize times are tough right now, but clearly the owners aren't spending any money on even keeping things up much less improving anything. Unfortunately when we left, there wasn't even a person at the front desk. So, we tried to sleep, got up early and left. Once back in the room we discovered that the TV system wasn't great either. When we got back, the person at the front desk was incredibly unfriendly and was way too busy looking at her phone to even say hello. We finally asked for service and were told they only carry a couple of kinds of beer and pulled out a couple of cans from a closet! No thanks! We drove over to Tombstone for a meal. We sat down, couldn't find anyone interested in serving us, so we went inside where the "bartender" was far too busy talking to the two other people in the entire bar to help us. The neighborhood has really gone downhill. We went down to the bar which is patronized by locals that did nothing to improve the ambiance. There's an ice bucket, but you have to go all the way back down four floors to find the ice maker. There was at least a coffee maker that leaked everywhere the first and only time we tried to use it. The window a/c unit couldn't cool the room but you can't open the windows because there are no screens. The furniture was very cheap and banged up. Once at the room, it looked nothing like the pictures. As we went up the stairs, we were welcomed by dirty cleaning rags lying on the furniture and floors. Then we found out that our room was on the fourth floor and oh by the way the elevator was broken and hadn't worked in a year. What was a beautiful tile mosaic floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. When we arrived, we walked in and immediately saw that the lobby was rundown. Again never got the confirmation I requested. They offered another specialty room at the same price so I accepted. Then a week later I received a call telling me the John Wayne room wasn't available because of rennovation. I called a week later to confirm and asked for an email confirmation. I should've known better when I made the reservation and asked for an email confirmation. My girlfriend had never seen Bisbee or the Copper Queen so I thought it would be a great birthday surprise. We were celebrating our birthdays and as a surprise I reserved the John Wayne room (where I'd stayed before). I'd stayed at the Copper Queen 10 years ago and remembered how great it was. Upon returning home, I feel recharged and am grateful for a place like Bisbee. With all that's going on in the world right now, it's the perfect escape to unwind, de-stress, relax, and have fun. Cute decor, clean rooms, and both beds were extremely comfortable. I've stayed in the hotel twice and both stays were lovely. The pool area, located on the second floor, is an enclosed, relaxing spot, with a perfect view of the mountainside iconic Bisbee "B", which offers a warm glow when lit up in the evenings. One of the cooks recommended the French dip sandwich instead and i wasn't disappointed. Unfortunately, on my last trip they had removed the chili momentarily from their condensed menu. ![]() I have enjoyed every meal I've had from their menu and my go-to meal hands down is the chili. ![]() I love sitting on the saloon patio, meeting out-of-towners from all over. The bar staff i have met over the years have all been kind and prompt, even when it's busy. With every return, my first (and last) stop is always the saloon. When I started visiting Bisbee 3.5 years ago, I immediately fell in love with the ambiance Copper Queen Hotel and Saloon offers.
